It is with heartfelt condolences to all friends and family that Folkestone Town Council has to advise the sad loss of Councillor George Bunting on 25th August 2014 at the age of 76.
Cllr Bunting joined FTC in 2004 and was Mayor between 2005 and 2006.  During his term of office he has been an active member of the Finance & General Purposes Committee and Chairman of the Personnel Sub-committee.
George dedicated all his time to the community of Folkestone, whether as a councillor, trustee of the John Bowley Alms Houses Charity or as a governor at The Folkestone School for Girls and will be sadly missed.  May he rest in peace.
